Stickpins having two or three medals at the top are seen occasionally. They were used with or without a medal bar for a veteran while wearing a business suit. This is a handsome example of this type of stickpin. It features, from left to right: the 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Crown and Swords from Bavaria, and the Hindenburg Cross for Combatants. This stickpin has an unusual locking device at the base of the pin. Besides being a security device to keep the stickpin from falling off a garment, the lock gives the stickpin a rather unusual look. This is an attractive example.
