This is an edition of the Schweizer Illustreierte Zeitung (Swiss Illustrated Newspaper), a German-language newspaper during WW I. This issue is from 1915 and has sixteen pages. The front cover has a sketch of German troops stopping at a house and visiting with the civilians who live there. All parties are smiling broadly. Inside are many photos and stories about the war effort. A lot of advertisements are included, for everything from a phonograph to cigarettes. One of the most interesting photos in this edition is a cat aboard a naval vessel. It is scampering down a ship’s cannon barrel!
