I am continually amazed by Imperial German Period patriotic jewelry’s great variety. Our offering today is a 1915 one pfennig coin that measures 5/8″ in diameter that has been converted into a pendant. Its center features Kaiser Wilhelm II’s head (with pickelhaube) in high relief. The coin is gilt-toned, while the Kaiser’s rendition is silver-toned. Soldered to the coin’s top is an attachment featuring a jump ring by which the pendant can be threaded on a chain. I am particularly impressed by the coin’s exquisitely detailed likeness of the Kaiser. You can easily install it on a necklace of your choice. Its overall condition is excellent.
