This is a seldom-seen example of the Kreuz der Inhaber in silver. It comes from the small state of Hohenzollern as opposed to the House of Hohenzollern. This is the peacetime example because there are no swords attached through the center. This example is different in a number of ways from the more traditional Knight’s Cross with Swords of the Hohenzollern House Order. First, it is silver-gilt. Second, the arms of this decoration are trimmed in black enamel instead of solid enamel. Both examples have enamel centers. This example is also hallmarked on the bottom arm for Wagner. An incorrect black and white war ribbon is included. The decoration is in very fine condition.
