$275.00

Anhalt was a Principality with a population 316,000 in 1900. Its House Order of Albert the Bear was a series of decorations that extended from Kollars to Breast Stars, Knights Crosses to Service Orders, and etc. The enamel work featuring the Bear is quite striking on the higher order levels. Today we are offering the Golden Service Medal from the Albert the Bear House Order. The gilt-toned medal measures 1 1/4″ in diameter. The obverse features a crowned bear striding across a castle’s ramparts. The decoration’s reverse features Anhalt’s crowned Coat-of-Arms, and indicates when the Principality was established (1170). Attached to the decoration is a correct magenta and green ribbon. Both ribbon and decoration are in very fine condition.
