WOODEN FRAME – HAND CARVED – COMMEMORATING VETERAN’S EAST ASIA SERVICE

SKU: 22-61

$495.00

Some of the most amazing veteran items came from those men who saw either Army or Navy service in East Asia. Elegantly handcrafted photo albums and marvelous hand carved photo frames like today’s offering were common. While Imperial Germany was well known for its hand carved wooden items, the Imperial Chinese were equally as skilled. The frame measures 12 ¾” x 15 ½.” Twin dragons face each other from left and right sides of the frame. They extend nearly the entire length of the frame. Three inserts are provided for displaying photos, CdV’s and Cabinet Photos. The first is a small oval area at the frame’s center top, which measures 2 ⅛” x 3 ¾.” Two larger cutout areas, each measuring 2 ¾” x 4 ½,” appear near the frame’s bottom. The frame’s reverse reveals that each of the three cutouts have swing-away pegs to hold the photos in place once inserted.
This lovely frame shows lots of character. It will display colonial or any other photos quite well.
