This is a five-place medal bar from a native Bavarian enlisted man/NCO. It is in beautiful condition. From left to right, we see the following awards:
*The Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Crown and Swords – Bavaria.
*The 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Place.
*The Hindenburg Cross with swords for Combatants.
*The German Southwest-Africa Medal for Combatants.
*The Landwehr Long Service Medal 2nd Class – Bavaria.
It is a most interesting decoration combination. It takes a Bavarian man from service in Germany’s Southwest Africa Colony(1904-1906) to Europe’s battlefields during WW I. All the decorations and ribbons are very clean and in solid condition.
