This pair of Oberleutnant’s epaulettes is from Prussian Bezerkskommando Nr 35. [A Bezerkskommando was a combination of a reserve district and a recruit depot for incoming army soldiers. The districts were scattered all over Germany, and District 35 was based in Prussia]. The epaulettes feature a gold moon. Within the moon’s borders is a white/creme-colored facing. Mounted to that is a large gilt “35” and an Oberleutnant’s single gilt pip.
The epaulette’s reverse is covered with red felt. With the exception of some discoloring on the obverse due to age and minor soiling, the epaulettes are in exceptional condition.
