This is a cigarette lighter that was used on a desk or side table. It stands 5″ tall and measures 1″ in diameter at the base. The artillery shell top removes to reveal the wick and the igniter wheel. The wheel turns and sparks, so it is very possible that the lighter can operate. The lighter’s bottom features a screw that I presume is removed to add lighter fluid, which is necessary for the lighter to operate. I see no marks anywhere on the lighter that indicate its age or origin.
