It then goes into a lengthy discussion about each of the 12 regiments that were activated in August 1914 (GduC, GKR KR1-8, Saxon Guard Reiter and Saxon Karabiner). It discusses the regiment’s garrison, the specific uniforms of each regiment and the regiment’s activities during the war. Mr. Turinetti has been able to find some firsthand descriptions of combat actions from German soldiers’ diaries and US Intelligence reports.
