Quick Overview

This is a pair of binoculars that dates from WW I and is the type used by the U.S. Army Signal Corps. These are officer’s quality binoculars. They are black metal with brown, leather-wrapped grips. To left eyepiece’s left are the words "Military Stereo 8x 30." To the right eyepiece’s right are the words "U.S. Navy Gun Factory, Optical Shop Annex, Rochester, NY USA." Underneath, it is marked "Signal Corps, U.S. Army" and "Serial No EE 64640." The optics are not clear (the glass is NOT broken). Perhaps somebody a bit handier than me can address the problem. A leather strap is attached. It also has a brown leather case. Inside the case’s lid is another marking for "U.S. Naval Gun Factory, Optical Annex Shop, Rochester, N.Y." It is an interesting example that is ready for display.
